8 Weeks

I am now eight weeks pregnant! The baby is the size of a pinto bean. =) I was reading a pregnancy week by week to Zach about how the baby is developing this week. The article kept saying "she" this and 'she' that. Zach asked kinda irritatedly, "Why do you keep saying she?" =) He is convinced it's a boy. =) Watch....it will be the most beautiful girl he has ever seen and he will completely LOSE it!!! =) Either way, he is already a good daddy. He talks to IT every night. It's so sweet. We had a doctors appointment last week. We saw the baby and the heart beating. (more like flashing!) Zach leaned way over me to get a better look. It was so exciting. I think that really made the pregnancy real for Zach. He told me that night, "Elizabeth, I love that thing. I mean I really love that kid already." I know what he means. It's amazing how quickly it just consumes your day. It's all I think about. I don't guess that will change for......well......I guess it won't ever change. I just pray I don't mess the kid up!!!!! =)

6 weeks pregnant!

About three weeks ago, Zach and I started suspecting that we might be, could be, possible be, pregnant. I was a little nervous to even take a test because I thought to myself, "I'm not going to be and then I would have wasted all of $8 on a test for nothing." I got a test and could not even wait for Zach to get home to take the test. It was positive. I literally screamed and jumped up and down. (Problably not good for the baby!) When Zach got home, he knew I was keeping something from him, so I led him to the kitchen where I had put the test with a bib that said, "Daddy Loves Me." He said, "Who'd you get to pee on that stick?" =) We started crying and he prayed and it was the happiest momment of my life so far. Now starts the worrying. (I know you aren't supposed to!) It is all I can think about though. The fact that the baby is growing and starting to form. So much fun!!!! I'll do my best to keep you posted on things going on. This week the baby is the size of a peppercorn and the brain, liver, and pancreas are starting to form. The heart is already beating. We have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. I'll let yall know how it goes.
